As part of the Ministry of Public Health’s initiative to enhance transparency in the pharmaceutical sector and keep pace with digital transformation in this field, the National e-Health Program team, in collaboration with the World Health Organization – Lebanon Office, continued its series of field visits to local pharmaceutical manufacturers. The second stop was at Pharmaline, one of the leading pillars of Lebanon’s pharmaceutical industry.
These visits aim to support the implementation of the MediTrack system for medicine traceability — a pivotal step toward ensuring a safe, transparent, and efficient pharmaceutical supply chain. The visit to Pharmaline provided an opportunity to observe the advanced technologies the company employs to track medications from production to distribution, including the use of 2D barcodes as a key tool for digital traceability.
The visit demonstrated the factory’s readiness and compliance with required standards, and reflected effective cooperation between the public and private sectors to advance the traceability system and ensure the delivery of high-quality, transparent medications to citizens.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Pharmaline management and technical team for their commitment and collaboration, and reiterates the importance of such partnerships in building a safer and more sustainable digital health system in Lebanon.
